Veterinary Science Opportunities
VESO was established as a Center for Contract Research (SEFO) in 1987. The department's primary focus was veterinary medicine and the main activities were vaccine distribution and contract research for Norwegian authorities. Key activity areas were the conduct of challenge trials with infectious diseases in salmonids and in combating Gyrodactylus salaris. VESO was established as a fully owned corporation in 1992.
Today, VESO consists of three departments; VESO Pharmacy fish health, VESO Pharmacy animal health and VESO Vikan research facility. The pharmacy was established in 2008 to improve customer services and to facilitate direct contact with our customers.
VESO aims to maintain and develop its position in Norwegian aquaculture, explore and invest in growth opportunities in international aquaculture and to strengthen its position in the Norwegian veterinary market. VESO is committed to maintaining high standards in animal welfare issues and makes an effort to minimize the environmental footprints generated by our activities.
